Lead Pastors
Caleb and Carmen enjoy spiritual heritage from three previous generations of believers. Although firmly planted in Zion since the beginning, their vision reaches beyond the local community to see God’s Kingdom proclaimed, expressed, and demonstrated in the nations. It is also their joy and honour to walk as a church family with all the generations, serving alongside, empowering and releasing young and old alike.
Despite their youthful appearance, Caleb and Carmen have a father and mother’s heart for each person under their care. While entrusted with various administrative duties and facilitating roles, Carmen desires to cultivate relationships and see individuals connected to the church family. Along with the team, Caleb facilitates the Sunday services and oversees the worship department as well. He has the privilege of assisting in leading and mentoring the worship at Global Gatherings with Watchmen for the Nations.
Concurrently, Caleb and Carmen are educators in the public school system which allows them to take advantage of the summer months to travel and recharge with their precious children, Levi and Emmia.

Since the Church of Zion’s founding in 1982, Daniel and Lucy have served faithfully as co-pastors alongside Gideon and May. Having immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 1972, Daniel was ordained as a minister in 1985. Married since 1974, Daniel and Lucy have raised three wonderful children—Rebecca, Ruth, and David—and are proud grandparents to five.
Their enduring marriage and shared life experiences have become a powerful testimony, enabling them to reach others with warmth, humor, and authenticity. Together, they are passionate about equipping couples to cultivate strong, Christ-centered marriages through premarital and marital counseling. Their insight and encouragement inspire couples to deepen their relationship with God.
Their ministry also extends to leadership and service, with Daniel lending his expertise to national ministry boards, helping organizations achieve financial stability, while Lucy blesses others through her gifts in prayer, children’s ministry, and hospitality. Both Daniel and Lucy are devoted to building and releasing team ministries, empowering people to reach their full spiritual potential. Whether traveling or meeting new people, they find joy in sharing the love of Christ wherever they go.

David and Ruth Demian share a deep commitment to preparing the Bride of Christ for His return. David, born in Egypt to Coptic Christian parents, left a successful medical career in 1984 when he responded to God’s call. Ruth, a Canadian medical doctor, met David in Egypt, and the two have since journeyed together in life and ministry. In 1988, they came to Canada for the birth of their first son, intending to return to Egypt shortly after. However, God clearly directed them to stay, and they have since built a life in Vancouver, raising their seven children while Ruth continues to practice medicine.
Together, they have faithfully walked with leaders through Watchmen for the Nations, facilitating a prophetic journey focused on redeeming the destiny of Canada and other nations. Since 2006, David and Ruth have deepened their ministry in Asia, collaborating with leaders in China and beyond to empower them to embrace their God-given callings. United in purpose, David and Ruth remain dedicated to seeing nations rise into their redemptive destinies and preparing the global church for the return of Christ.
